The information in this section is only meant to be a very brief taster for newcomers. The aim of sharing this information is to give you a glimpse into the immense depth of the knowledge base contained within the Human Design System. The study of this part of the knowledge requires detailed information and is only suitable for those ready to jump into a deeper learning of Human Design.

There are 12 Profiles in the Human Design system; profiles relate to your character. Your Profile will usually be clearly stated on your chart, but by looking at the little superscript numbers next to the big numbers at the top of the red and black columns shown on your chart you can see how your Profile is determined. The top row of the red and black columns relates to the great influence of the Sun in your chart.

When reading Profiles we take the black row's little number first, then the red's.

As you can see there are just six different numbers. These relate to the hexagram's of the I Ching. Note that not all combinations of the 6 numbers are possible.

Each number has a basic label, the full meaning of which will become clear if you have areading from a Human Design Analyst or if you decide to study the Human Design System in greater depth.

Profile 1:3 - Investigating Martyr
This would be someone who is insecure at a personality level, always looking for a solid foundation, determined to check things out thoroughly, while at the same time tied to a trial and error process which often begins with mistakes until they eventually know all there is to know about the enterprise they’re investigating.
